Frequently asked
What is Zavoy?
Zavoy is a motorcycle navigation app for iOS and Android. It plans routes for the roads worth riding — smart route scoring, turn-by-turn navigation, weather along the way, lean-angle safety alerts, live group rides and a recap video of every ride. It's currently in beta — apply to ride it early.
Is navigation really free?
Yes — always. Turn-by-turn navigation, auto-rerouting and voice guidance never sit behind a paywall. Optional paid plans add extras like unlimited saved routes and offline downloads, but getting where you're going is free.
How do subscriptions work, and how do I cancel?
Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions billed through the App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel anytime from your store account — on iOS via Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android via Play Store → Subscriptions. Full details are in our Terms.
How do I export a route?
Open any saved route, tap the share icon and choose Export GPX. The GPX file loads onto Garmin, TomTom and most bike navigation units.
How does group riding work?
Start a group ride and share the link with your crew. Everyone who opts in appears live on the map, and in-ride chat keeps you talking — messages queue offline and sync when signal returns. Live location sharing stops when the ride ends or you turn it off.
Can I share my ride as a video?
When you finish a ride, Zavoy renders a vertical recap clip — your route drawing itself across the map with your distance, corners and top speed counting up. Save it to your camera roll or share it anywhere. The clip is silent by design, so you can drop your own track over it in Reels, TikTok or a story.
Is there a social feed?
There is a feed, and it is your friends only — a private circle rather than an open, public timeline. You see your friends' rides, posts and rank-ups; tap any ride to open its map and stats, and a posted ride shows up as a route card with your caption. There are no like or comment counters to chase.
How do I add friends or follow riders?
Search for a rider by name and send a request. Once they accept, you'll see when they're out riding, follow their activity, and message them direct. You control who can find and follow you from your profile settings.
What are the Fun Score and rider ranks?
Every ride you log counts toward your rank, from Newcomer up to Legend, based on the miles you put in. The Fun Score rates each road on the corners it throws at you, so a twisty backroad scores higher than a straight motorway run.
Can I message other riders?
Send direct messages one to one with riders you're friends with. Group rides also carry their own in-ride chat that queues offline and syncs the moment signal returns.
Which devices are supported?
Zavoy runs on recent iPhones (iOS 16+) and Android devices (Android 9+). Lean-angle warnings rely on your phone's motion sensors, available on all supported models.
How do I delete my account or data?
You can delete everything from inside the app, or request it from the web. See Delete your account & data for the full process and what gets removed.
How is my location data used?
Location powers navigation, ride history and opt-in live sharing during group rides. We explain exactly what's collected, who can see it and how to turn sharing off in our Privacy Policy.
